Join us in Granada, 18 – 22 May 2026
SiNANO is proud to invite you to join the semiconductor community in a series of events to be held in Granada on 18-22 May 2026. This week will be rich in scientific exchanges, networking opportunities, and community‑building activities for researchers across Europe.
Informations
Around the first in‑person IRDS event since 2019 (18–19 May), experts will present the latest IRDS roadmap updates and explore new directions in computing, materials and devices.
The 12th EuroSOI‑ULIS Conference (20–22 May) will gather the community working on advanced silicon technologies and ultimate device integration.
A dedicated EID networking event for young researchers will offer opportunities to meet peers, connect with senior researchers, and discuss research and career development.
A FAMES tutorial will introduce participants to the pilot line and provide insights into fabrication and process integration.
You can freely attend any open session during your stay in Granada (registration free but mandatory for some events).
Here is the extended programme you may be interested in:
18-19 May: IRDS Event
During two days, experts will present the latest updates of the main IRDS chapters and discuss new directions in computing, as well as emerging materials and devices for future information processing.
- Day 1 – IRDS Annual Update of Roadmap Summaries
IRDS represents the main international roadmap of the electronic industry. The key challenges and possible solutions for materials, devices and systems over the next 15 years will be highlighted.
- Day 2 – ISRDS (International Symposium on Roadmapping Devices and Systems)
The ISRDS will focus on new computing paradigms (neuromorphic, probabilistic, reversible, quantum) and new directions in materials and devices, including 2D and ferroelectric materials, steep‑slope devices, quantum materials and devices, spintronics, and cryogenic electronics.
A dedicated EID event will also take place during the week, offering young researchers the opportunity to meet, exchange, and build their network.
Introduction on SiNANO
Highlight of th key benefits of SINANO and how its strong networking opportunities can support your path toward becoming senior researchers.
Succes Stories
Three success stories from senior researchers will also be presented, focusing on the challenges they faced and how they managed to overcome them.
Talks with senior researchers
Talks with senior researchers will be organised, giving you the chance to ask questions, discuss challenges, and learn how to manage them. These small‑group exchanges are a great opportunity to learn directly from their experience.
Wrap-up
A wrap‑up session will summarise the key points discussed in the small groups, highlighting the main challenges raised and the solutions shared.
Pitch & Poster Session
A poster session, where each participant will give a 1‑minute pitch to present their research and introduce themselves.
19 May: Tutorial 2D
A dedicated tutorial on 2D materials will be offered, introducing their properties, integration challenges, and potential for next‑generation electronic devices. Several experts will contribute to the session, including a speaker from the FAMES Pilot Line initiative, bringing insights from Europe’s efforts to advance sustainable and high‑performance semiconductor technologies.
20-22 May: EuroSOI‑ULIS 2026
The 12th Joint EuroSOI Workshop and International Conference on Ultimate Integration on Silicon (EuroSOI‑ULIS 2026) will take place from 20 to 22 May 2026 in Granada, Spain.
EuroSOI‑ULIS brings together scientists and engineers to discuss SOI technologies and advanced microelectronic devices in an interactive and collaborative environment. Its goal is to foster strong links between academia, research institutes and industry, encouraging dialogue and new partnerships.
