The General Assembly and Annual meeting of the SiNANO Institute took place on May 20th 2026 in Granada (Spain), during the EUROSOI-Ulis conference. After a look back on the activities that took place since the last General Assembly, the SiNANO Institute has elected a new governing board.
Giorgos Fagas from Tyndall National Institute and Valerya Kilchytska from Université catholique de Louvain have been re-elected respectively as Director and Deputy Director of the SiNANO Institute.
A new Governing Board was also elected with 4 new persons appointed:
– Vihar Georgiev – University of Glasgow
– Irina Ionica – Grenoble INP
– Sayani Majumdar – Tampere University
– Robert Mroczyński – Warsaw University of Technology
– Luca Selmi – IUNET/University of Modena
Mikaël Östling from KTH resumes his role as Governing Chair.
Finally, Francis Balestra remains Director Emeritus, together with Enrico Sangiorgi.
