INFRACHIP – The European research platform for the sustainable development of next-generation and future semiconductors chips
INFRACHIP is a European research platform for the sustainable development of next-generation and future semiconductor chips. Through INFRACHIP, you can access for free state-of-the-art technologies in various facilities throughout Europe.
INFRACHIP aims to address the EU’s twin digital and green transition and ensure Europe’s capacity to innovate at the early to medium readiness levels, by revoking barriers in research and enhancing skills in the field of semiconductors.
To serve INFRACHIP vision and mission, there are five specific project objectives to be accomplished:
- access provision
- R&I capacity building,
- addressing the EU twin green and digital transition,
- accelerating the Lab-to-Fab translation,
- training and knowledge sharing towards a reinforced skilled workforce on semiconductor manufacturing in line with the European Chips Act.
You can find out more about INFRACHIP on the website
SiNANO is involved in the INFRACHIP consortium and is in charge of the communication, dissemination and networking activities.
The project is coordinated by Tyndall National Institute and gathers 14 partners: 11 access providers opening their facilities to free access and providing training within the INFRACHIP scope, and 3 clusters engaging with various stakeholders to promote the project, its results and the opportunities it gives to research in the field.
INFRACHIP (2024-2027) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation actions under GA No. 101131822
